On the weekend of June 26 - 28, Rangeley Rises hopes to bring our community together, virtually, with the Rangeley Moves 5K. This event is open to running, biking, walking, hiking, etc. We want the community to get outside and move while participating in a 5k. There is no main course due to the social distancing guidelines; you may choose your own course! With that being said, there is no set time either, get out whenever you want to move! It is a way to stay healthy and accountable while doing it with your family, if you choose!Â
All donations will go toward the Shannon Wahlstrom Memorial Scholarship Fund to financially assist students in pursuing a post-secondary education. Ask anyone who knew Shannon and they would say her unique smile and laugh would light up a room and instantly brighten one’s mood. Shannon was always excited to experience new adventures, to be with her family and friends, and to make as many new memories as possible. In the 22 years of her all-too-short life, Shannon was a huge part of our small town community. Please join this adventure of a virtual 5K and celebrate the life and adventures of our friend Shannon Wahlstrom.
