When March 2020 Hit The Community Came Together
Here's what happened in our community:

-
Through the Friends Helping Friends initiative, restaurants offered take-out service and provided free meals to those in need.
-
Community organizations and local businesses prepared boxes of food and supplies for those in need.
-
Grocery stores offered pre-ordering, pick up, and delivery services.
-
Youth were being challenged with activities and games that stimulate their mind and kept them physically active while maintaining distance.
-
Residents were being encouraged to wear face coverings in proximity of others, to maintain physical distance, and to frequently wash or sanitize hands.
-
Hand sanitizing stations were built and installed in high traffic areas throughout Rangeley and Oquossoc.
-
Businesses, organizations, and municipal facilities implemented safety protocols to meet or exceed CDC and State of Maine guidelines
-
Spring and summer events were rescheduled or, if possible, adapted for virtual participation.
-
We safely welcomed our seasonal residents and visitors back to our unique and beautiful mountain community.
We overcame this crisis together and, after it passed, the spirit of Rangeley Rises continued. We look back at all that was accomplished and are galvanized to face whatever new challenges come our way.
